We believe that the environment plays a crucial role in supporting children’s learning and development. That’s why we have created a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment that inspires creativity and a love of learning.  

Our environment enables our children to be as independent as possible. With access to paints, paintbrushes, pens, paper, and craft materials whenever they wish, our children can get in touch with their creative side and create fantastic pieces of art which they can choose to keep at school or take home.  

At Lady Lane Park, we believe that the environment is not only important for supporting children’s learning and development, but also for promoting their overall health and wellbeing. That’s why we prioritise healthy habits, such as nutritious eating, regular exercise, and ample rest and relaxation.  

Outdoor Opportunities

At Little Gems Nursery, children enjoy a safe, enclosed play area with covered and shaded spaces for year-round outdoor activities. Our extensive school field is perfect for exploration, where children can discover minibeasts, grow flowers, fruit and vegetables, and engage in imaginative play in the mud kitchen. Our outdoor facilities include slides, ride-on toys, a playhouse, sand and water play, and a role-play area, providing a wealth of learning and physical opportunities.

Our outdoor play areas are designed to encourage physical activity and an appreciation for the natural world. Whether it's exploring our extensive school field or playing in our safe, enclosed play area, your child will have ample opportunities to engage with the outdoors.

Nutrition

Our school chef and kitchen team at Little Gems Nursery provide a diverse menu of balanced and nutritious meals. We believe in fostering a positive relationship with food and work closely with parents to accommodate individual dietary needs, including weaning, specific dietary requirements, allergies, and intolerances. Mealtimes are both fun and educational, replicating a family environment where children can develop fine motor skills by using cutlery, setting the table, and serving food.
