On Friday 14th June LVI &UVI girls went to Headingley Water Treatment works . First we got told a bit about what Yorkshire Water is all about and the jobs of people who work there. We even got chance to ask them questions about these.
After, they told us about the process they take to clean the water and we went around on a tour. The guide told us about the different machines, only two workers are managing the whole site!
Next, we planned and created are own pipe system and the winning group was the one that created the cheapest network. Finally we investigated different water samples and tested for chlorine and the pH value.
Thank you to Mrs Moffat and Pippa’s mum for joining us on the trip and to Headingley Yorkshire Water for a fantastic morning.
